Been SO SO long since I have updated the blog!
A few projects I worked on:

This Deviser Riverhead 52 Tele was a limited run and made to be a relic when new and while I hate ruining an original finish it was lacquer over top of a nasty thick poly sanding sealer with a terrible lame relic job so this had to be done right, IMO.

Was not a fan of the aged finish I had originally done.
I have always loved the heavily ambered & played Telecasters from the 50s and 60s that must have spent most of their lives in smokey homes and bars.
I decided to do this one up similar and managed to get the lacquer to have that nice dull but still reflective aged patina to it.

As usual I have been forgetting to update my blog...Bacchus is done and plays and sounds fantastic now that it is lacquered and out of its poly cocoon.

So...the Bacchus Jr...yeah.
This was waiting for hotter weather and our summer hit on Friday with a vengeance!
So damn hot for May in Victoria!
Anyway, so I sanded it but not 100 since I was going to put a solid TV finish on it to cover the holes left by a Bigsby.
So I did a Sonic Blue and while I liked it it just didn't do it for me.
Soooo spent the whole day yesterday stripping it and really prepping it for tung oil because tung oil is the shit man! :D

Here it is with the sonic blue:

Here it is yesterday after 1 coat of tung oil:

What's on the bench?

Late 90s Bacchus Les Paul solid flame top, 1 piece back, 1 piece neck, 9 lbs, crazy rosewood board, fat necked tone machine.
Doing some work on her to get her ready for sale.
Excuse the shite cell phone pics.
