Haha well that is natural fret wear from body oil and the strings vibrations creating those oval spots. Many people desire that as it is a sign of a player and I suspect this guitar was well loved. I would not dare wipe that off but rather some new strings and she will be ready! ^_^
Lovely guitar there, looks like it just needs a cleaning. Looks like it was well played, or the previous owner just never washed his hands.
